There were 299 South Shore luxury homes sold in 2019 per the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) versus 281 luxury homes sold over $1.0 million dollars in 2018. In 2019, there were 250 South Shore luxury homes sold between $1.0M and $2.0M, 31 luxury home sales between $2.0M and $3.0M, 5 luxury home sales between $3.0M and $4.0M and 6 luxury home sales over $4.0M, with the top South Shore luxury sale topping out at $8,750.000 in Duxbury, MA. In 2017 there were 263 South Shore luxury homes sold over $1.0 million. Due to many South Shore luxury homes having beautiful oceanfront views, beachfront access or docks, it’s no wonder why some of the highest prices for luxury homes is being invested on the South Shore.
